KGF Chapter 2 is the most anticipated upcoming film in the Indian Kannada film industry. The film was scheduled for 23 October 2020, but due to the COVID 19 pandemic and the health issues of Sanjay Dutt, the film will be released on 14 January 2021. Synopsis:

The blood-soaked land of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) has a new overlord now – Rocky, whose name hints terror in the heart of his antagonists. His relatives look up to Rocky as their rescuer, the government sees him as a threat to law and order; foes are waiting for revenge and planning for his ruin. Bloodier battles and darker days anticipate as Rocky continues on his quest for disputed authority. If the latest speculation is anything to go by then Yash is likely to die in the climax of the second installment.

Casting:

In July 2019, Sanjay Dutt committed supposition of  his appearance in the film. The crew released the film’s first poster on Dutt’s 60th birthday on 29 July. On signing Dutt, Yash remarked, “Sanjay Dutt is a wonderful actor, and when elements like his physical appearance, image, legacy and, on top of it, the kind of role that KGF Chapter 2 has etched for him come together, it only adds value. Dutt compared his character Adheera to Thanos, and revealed that it was “shown to be a dangerous character with scary makeup” and added that it was the role he was looking for.

Media rumours that Raveena Thandon would appear in the film started making rounds as early as February 2019. A news report in The Times of India  in August confirmed that Tandon will be seen in a “major role” in the film. In August 2019, it was reported that Tamil actor Saran Shakthi would be playing “an important role”.

KGF chapter 2 movie was programmed for 23 October 2020, but due to the COVID 19 pandemic the film might be released on 14 January 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.
