ISmart Shankar Review:
Ram Pothineni’s extraordinary energy meets the vision of Puri Jagannadh’s mass film.
iSmart Shankar is a Telugu Film directed Puri Jagannadh, The lead cast of this movie are Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh, Nidhhi Agerwal and Satyadev. Even though Puri’s is based on mass concepts always. This time he brings a bit scientific fiction into the movie.
Story:
Ram Plays a street contract killer, His acting and energy are top notch in the movie. As the movie progresses Ram understand that he has been trapped in a major conspiracy. Now it is up to him to unravel the mystery behind why he was asked to kill a politician.
In the beginning we Sarah who is played Nidhhi Agarwal on a podium explaining about partial memory transfer from one brain to another by inserting a chip in the head. Around the same time, We see Arun played by Satyadev a CBI officer, unveils the news of a small time criminal Shankar played by Ram Pothineni who has escaped from prison.
Script:
The story progresses further more when Shankar and Chandini played by Nabha Natesh. The highlight of this movie is their conversations in Telangana slang.
The real story begins when Shankar gets a dual sim in this words. Technically it’s the memory transfer chip. There are portions where he switches between being Shankar and someone else.
Ram switches between these characters effortlessly. Satyadev stand sout for his performance. The last hour of the movie is a bit dull, The climax is a bit loud where almost all the characters in the movie meet in one frame.
Puri Jagannadh does a wonderful job here in handling the relationship between Shankar and the actresses. We should give him credit to him for using the sci-fi as a foundation of the film.
Music:
The music directed by Mani Sharma is also another plus point of the movie. The background score is compelling and gives a sense of connection in Shankar’s journey.
In the end all we can is Puri Jagannadh is back with another mass movie, It may not be his best movie. But it can be certainly watched. Even though iSmart Shankar movie may look like a bit of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.

But it is Puri Jagannadh again who brings his own touch and combines the scientific fiction elements with an Mass Character.

Even though its contains mass elements at time. iSmart Shankar strikes a chord largely due to its difference in the story and Puri Jagannadh’s vision. Mani Sharma’s music and background score and Ram Pothineni’s energetic performance has made the movie worth a watch.
